Condensate Cooler
VCC Series
Specifications
Model | VCC Series |
Sizes | 6’’, 8’’, 12’’, 16’’ |
Connections | 150# RF |
Body Material | Carbon Steel |
PMO Max. Operating Pressure | 150 PSIG |
TMO Max. Operating Temperature | 366°F |

Typical Applications
The VCC Series Vertical Condensate Coolers are installed to reduce condensate temperature to acceptable limits when the condensate is to be discharged to drain. Cooling water is connected to the inlet of the included temperature regulating valve to maintain the desired condensate outlet temperature. All units are vented to atmosphere to ensure any flash steam is properly relieved. A steam trap is included on the drain to eliminate the possibility of steam discharge.
Flash Arrestor
FA Series
Specifications
Model | FA |
Inlet/Outlet Sizes | 2’’, 2-1/2’’, 3’’, 4’’ |
Shell End Connections | Butt Weld |
Shell Material | Carbon Steel |
HP Inlet Tube Material | Stainless Steel |
PMO Max. Operating Pressure | 150 PSIG |
TMO Max. Operating Temperature | 366°F |
PMA Max. Allowable Pressure | 150 PSIG @ 562°F |

Typical Applications
The FA Series Flash Arrestors are installed in condensate return systems when introducing high pressure condensate into low pressure return piping. The integral sparge pipe is used to diffuse the incoming condensate from a steam trap to reduce the effects of water hammer, significantly improving return system operation A flash arrestor can also mitigate water hammer and elevated return pressures and temperatures in overstressed or flooded return lines.
Blowdown Separator
BDS Series
Specifications
Model | BDS |
Inlet Sizes | ¾’’, 1’’, 1-1/2’’, 2’’, 2-1/2’’ |
Connections | 150# RF |
Body Material | Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel |
PMO Max. Operating Pressure | 150 PSIG |
TMO Max. Operating Temperature | 366°F |
PMA Max. Allowable Pressure | 150 PSIG @ 562°F |
Contact Us for more information on this product and to see other sizes that fit unique applications.
Typical Applications
The BDS Series Blowdown Separators are designed to safely separate hot water and the flash steam generated from boilers during blowdown. The vessel is designed to equalize to atmospheric pressure for disposal of the flash and hot water. Stainless Steel strike plate and internal steel baffles direct the flow cyclonically for efficient separation. Optional aftercooler packages with temperature regulator to temper condensate prior to discharge in municipal sewer.
Desuperheaters
Desuperheaters
Specifications
Common Sizes and Specifications
Steam pipe size range | 4’’ – 48’’ |
Pressure class range | 150 – 2500 |
Mounting Flange | 3’’ – 12’’ |
Cooling water Flange | 0.5’’ – 4’’ |
Rangeability | Up to 1:5 |

Typical Applications
A desuperheater works in the opposite of a superheater in that it reduces the energy and temperature of superheated steam. This is accomplished by combining liquid water with superheated steam to both evaporate the liquid water and cool the superheated steam. This reduction in temperature and pressure is necessary to be used in certain process equipment with pressure or temperature limits.

Accumulators
Accumulators
Specifications
Common Sizes and Specifications
Types of Accumulator | Diaphragm, Bladder, Piston |
Volume | 1 qt. – 100 Gal |
Possible Pressure Ratio | Up to 10:1 |
Flow Rate | Up to 2000 lbs/hr |

Typical Applications
A steam accumulator is typically used in process applications where peak demands could exceed the capabilities of a boiler. The steam accumulator provides steam to the process applications when demand is high, and then to take in and collect steam when the demand is lower. This helps to prevent carry-over from boilers and to provide adequate steam to process equipment.

Vent Condenser
Vent Condenser
Specifications
Common Sizes and Specifications
Vent Exhaust | 500 lbs/hr |
Water | 11 GPM |
Water Temperature | 60°F |
Water Pressure Drop | 22 PSI |

Typical Applications
When high pressure condensate is fed into a lower pressure flash tank, flash steam is created. This flash steam is often vented to the atmosphere. However, this vented steam is wasted energy and can be recaptured using a vent condenser. A vent condenser is a heat exchanger that uses this recaptured flash steam to capture and utilize what would otherwise be wasted energy.
